CSSA (Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa)

CSSA offers the only professional qualification for the Company Secretary profile which is registered on NQF level 8 – equivalent to an Honours Degree. The qualification is recognised internationally and CSSA members in good standing are welcomed anywhere in the world. You will gain a competitive advantage as those with professional qualifications stand out to prospective employers. CSSA is also the professional body for Company Secretaries and the benefits of membership are substantial and will enhance your professional career. So in essence CSSA is the qualifying body and chartered membership for people in governance, risk, compliance and accounting.

The CSSA equips students and members with the skills, knowledge and experience of governance professionals through their qualification, training and technical know-how.

RISSIK BUSINESS SCHOOL is an accredited Tuition provider for the Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa (CSSA) qualifications. CSSA offers the only professional qualification for the company secretary position. Students need to register with and pay CSSA for examination fees separately from Rissik Business School.

Please note that due to timetable constraints Applied Governance and Company Secretarial Practice cannot be done in conjunction with Finance for Decision Making in the same semester

The 6 months modules’ exams are written in May or October. The 1 year modules’ exams are written in October. A tuition semester consists of 13 weeks. Students attend 2.5 hours of tuition per module per week. Lectures run from 18h00 to 20h30.
